We have expanded the Serene range with this wonderful Loose model, featuring a medium leg length and a firm waistband. Serene is the name of our new trousers concept with three different silhouettes and a lightweight high-stretch denim quality that easily adapts to your body. With Serene you get 3 sizes in one single pair of trousers – because one size may fit you on Monday where you may need another size on Thursday. Serene is made from a recycled polyester and organic cotton blend with plenty of elastane for excellent stretchability and optimum comfort. Produced in Europe
All LAURIE products are produced by carefully selected suppliers in Europe who meet our high quality standards and requirements for responsible production.
LAURIE is a member of Amfori BSCI and uses their "Code of Conduct" towards manufacturers in the supply chain. Amfori BSCI is an important part of LAURIE's due diligence, as it ensures that our social responsibility meets international standards and national laws. As well as giving us a system to work uniformly with audits/follow-up when we visit our suppliers, which we do several times a year.
Organic Cotton
LAURIE only uses organic cotton.
Organic cotton is grown without the use of harmful pesticides. In fact, as much as 25% of the world's total pesticide consumption comes from conventionally grown cotton. This entails a serious threat to the groundwater which supplies many of the world's poorest producing countries with water.
In addition, it puts rare, natural habitats under pressure. Worldwide, today less than 1% of total cotton production is organic. In order to classify cotton as organic, the following requirements must be met:
- Pesticides, insecticides or defoliants must not be used
- Artificial fertilizers must not be used
- Genetic modification (GMO) must not be used
